Parish Christmas Carol Service:

We invite you to join us for our Parish Carol Service on Wednesday 12th December at 7.30pm. This special event includes our Wonderful 3 Parish Choirs and also the involvement of our local Schools Choirs. They are all collaborating together to make this a very special event in the lead up to Christmas. In time-honoured tradition Parishioners are invited to bring along a gift for those in need which will be distributed through St Vincent De Paul. We look forward to seeing you. Admission is free and all are welcome!

 

 

St. Vincent De Paul Christmas Appeal:

Just once a year St Vincent De Paul have permission to hold a Church Collection, which this week replaces the usual Share Appeal. A member of our local Rush SVDP Conference will speak at all Masses. We thank all the members of our local Conference for all the work they do throughout the year on our behalf. Thanks to all for your ongoing generosity to this worthy cause.

 

 

Parish Christmas Card:

Over the coming days, a Christmas Card will be distributed to each home in the Parish. It will include the timetable of the Christmas Masses and Ceremonies. Please keep this information in a convenient place at home.

 

 

Christmas Mass Bouquet Cards:

The Parish office now has a beautiful selection of Christmas Mass Bouquet Cards in stock. If you are interested please drop in to see them. A Triduum of Masses will be offered during the Christmas Season for the intentions of all whose names are included.

 

 

Christmas Book of Remembrance:

Envelopes are now available at the back of the Church for the Christmas List . Names of our loved ones who have gone before us may be written in a special book which will be placed on display upon the Altar steps throughout the 12 days of Christmas. These names will be remembered at all Masses over the Christmas Season. Please complete and leave back to the Parish Office or place in the Church Letter Box. 

Please note that no individual names will be called out from the Altar on the Christmas Eve and Christmas morning Masses.

 

 

 

 

2019 Planned Giving Envelope Distribution:

• The 2019 Planned Giving Boxes are available for collection at masses this weekend in the main porch.
• We sincerely thank the families already contributing and we invite new families, not currently contributing, to consider beginning their donation to the Parish in this coming year. We would be delighted to receive your details as you leave the Church.
• The Parish financial statement for 2017 is also available.
• Planned Giving for Sunday 2nd December amounted to €1,175. Thank you.

Family Mass Children’s Liturgy Group

Ths Group continues for the Advent season. All children and their parents are welcome to this child-friendly service in the day chapel. New volunteers also required – if you are interested please come along or leave name and contact number into the Parish Office.

 

Toy Sunday:

We celebrate Toy Sunday next weekend at 11.30am with the Do This in Memory programme and all the Children of the Parish. This year the toys will go to homeless Children through the ONE campaign under the auspices of FOCUS Ireland.

Rush Tidy Towns

Rush Tidy Towns invite you to an informal evening in the Community Centre to share with you our ideas for how the Tidy towns movement can develop in Rush in 2019, and also to seek your views and ideas the meeting takes place at 8pm on Monday the 10th of December.

 

Skerries Sea Sharps#
