Deaths

Do this In Memory Programme
The Parish wishes to invite parents of all children preparing for First Holy Communion in 2017 who attend Rush N.S, St.Catherine’s N.S, St. Brendan’s N.S and Gaelscoil Ros Eo to an information meeting where details about the programme will be provided. This meeting takes place on Tuesday 18th October at 8p.m in St. Maur’s Church.
Child Safeguarding Training
The Parish Pastoral Council and The Child Safeguarding Officers have organised Child Safeguarding Training on Monday 17th and Monday 24th of October from 7pm to 9:30pm. The training is split over two evenings and it is that Parish Clergy, Parish Staff, Sacristans, Safeguarding Reps, Volunteers who work directly or indirectly with children and the Chairperson of the Parish Pastoral Council attend both evenings.
Failte Isteach Rush
Volunteer tutors are needed for our service, the time commitment is two hours, once a week to teach conversational English to new arrivals in our community. No experience is necessary as training will be given.
Our classes are on Tuesday in Rush Multi-Purpose Youth Facility (Martins Shop), Channel Road, Rush, 10am – 12 noon and run until June each year. If you are interested in becoming a tutor please contact Elizabeth at failteisteach@gmail.com or Caragh on 01-8439349.
Harvest Festival
A special Thank You to all farmers who donated so many vegetables. To those who prepared the display, decorated the Church and to all parishioners who donated towards St. Vincent De Paul. Over €1000 was raised along with numerous vegetable hampers distributed to families in need.
St Maur’s Band Annual Collection
The annual gate collection takes place next weekend Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th October.
Rinceoil Fingal

Can You Hear Me
Can You Hear Me is a prayer service which will be held in the Monastery of St. Alphonsus, Drumcondra at 8.00pm on Monday 17th October next to mark International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. Beginning at 8.00pm it is prepared by the Chaplaincy Students of DCU with Music by the Dublin Diocesan Music Group. Poverty is not being without money, but being without hope
Service of Remembrance
The Board, Master and Staff of the Rotunda Hospital invite you to a Service of Remembrance for people who have lost a baby through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, neonatal death or fetal anomaly. The Service will be held in the Pro-Cathedral on Sunday, 6th November at 3.00p.m. Afterwards light refreshments will be served in the Gresham Hotel. Julian Prayer Group
The Julian Prayer Group will commence its annual programme with the Confirmation candidates in the primary schools of the Parish on Tues. Oct.11th. The Scripture Reading for discussion this week will be “ The Annunciation”. (Luke 1: verses 26-38).
