The Church Choir
On Saturday 6th June at 7 pm Mass will sing music composed by the late Mr. Jack Harte who was Choir Master in the 1970′ and 80’s
Thank You
Thank you for contributing to Cross Care last Sunday. Also a big thank you to all the parents, teachers, children & volunteers who decorated, cleaned & provided flowers for the First Holy Communion over the last few weeks. Congratulations to all the children involved.
Bank Holiday Monday 1st June – Mass will be at 10. a.m.
Sunday June 7th – Feast of Corpus Christi, Child Safeguarding Sunday
The children who made their first communion to join in the Corpus Christi procession after the 11.30 mass in their communion dresses/clothes. This Sunday is also Ice cream Sunday, ice creams will be available after the procession. A Parish representative will be addressing child safeguarding at this mass.

Baptisms Dates
Preparation Meeting for baptisms Sunday June 14th and June 28th Will be held on Wednesday 3rd June at 7.30 pm. Deadline for June baptisms is Tuesday 2nd June. Please note that godparents/sponsors must be baptised Catholics and over 16 years of age. See the parish website for all information. No Baptisms In July.
Novena to St Anthony begins on Friday 5th June until the Feast of St. Anthony which is Saturday 13th June.

Low Gluten Hosts
Low-gluten hosts now available at weekend Mass from this Sunday 31st May. These will only be distributed by the Eucharistic Minister at the aisle in front of the Tabernacle (Sandy Road side of the church). This Minister will also be distributing the normal hosts so please request the low gluten host when you approach. The low gluten hosts will be contained separately and will not be touched by the Minister. Also to understand numbers if parishioners would register with the parish office their intention to partake and which weekend Mass they generally attend.
Annual Diocesan Corpus Christi Eucharistic Procession – Thurs 4th June
All parishes are invited to participate in the Annual Diocesan Corpus Christi Eucharistic Procession which will be held in the ground of Holy Cross College, Clonliffe on Thurs next 4th June at 7.30pm. In particular families with children who have recently celebrated their First Holy Communion. It will take around an hour with music and prayer in the open air.
Prayer Space for Students
Please make use of our Prayer Space for all those taking exams at this time. We ask you as students, yourselves or anyone else on their behalf to add your / their name to our prayer commitment book for those taking Exams. All these names will be remembered and prayed for each day at daily mass and at our weekend masses until all the State examinations are finished. We want all students to know that Rush Parish will be thinking of them during this exhausting time.
New Community Text Alert System Proposed for Rush
Following a meeting with local Garda representatives a community text alert system was offered to Rush as ONE method to assist with crime prevention. To kick-start this initiative we are calling on residents, businesses, clubs, housing estates and all interested parties to register their support by contacting Rush Community Centre on 8439341 orinfo@rushcoco.ie
