Confirmations
Congratulations to all the children who made their confirmation this weekend. Next Saturday 25th April Confirmations will take place at 11 a.m. for Rush National School. Practices for the confirmation will be taking place in the church over the next few weeks. Confirmation & Communion Cards are on sale in the Parish office at a price of €2

Diocesan Share Collection
The second collection each Sunday is the Diocesan Share Collection. The financial statement from the archdiocese is available in the porch of the church.

Vocation Sunday 25/26th April
Second collection Vocation Sunday: The second collection is the Diocesan Vocation collection, this replaces the share collection.

Weekday Mass Intentions
We would ask parishioners to please leave their name, address & telephone number for mass intentions Monday to Saturday. All intentions for Sunday to be in by Friday at 12.

Trocaire
Any outstanding Trocaire Boxes can be left in the office. We thank parishioners for their very kind donations.

The Irish Catholic is available in the Parish office, price €1.60

Saturday Morning Masses
No Saturday morning masses at 10 am on 25th April and on May 16th & 23rd May.

Baptisms Dates
Preparation Meeting for baptisms on Sunday 10th May & Sunday 24th May will be held on Wednesday 6th May. Deadline for April Baptisms is Tuesday 5th May. Please note that godparents/sponsors must be baptised Catholics and over 16 years of age. See the parish website for all information. No Baptisms in July.

Parish Office
Opening hours Monday to Thursday: 9-1 and Friday 11-1. Available at the office: Mass cards (€5), Certs (€3), Baptismal Forms, Mass Intentions, Irish Catholic Paper. We are delighted to be selling the following Mass cards from the Parish Office…. Sympathy, Anniversary, Mass Bouquet, Mass Intention, Thank You, Birthday & Get Well. We have also opened a gift shop with beautiful communion sets, grave candles, Children’s Bible, Bookmarks, Angel pins, Rosary beads, Bracelets etc. New to the shop this week:Blessed St. Anthony, Miraculous, Mother Teresa Medals, Christening Keepsake cards, Communion Missals & Candles!!

Children’s Leaflets
Colouring leaflets are available for children under 6. Please bring your own colour pencils.

Blood Transfusion Services will be at ST. Maur’s GAA Centre from 4.30 -8.00pm on Mon 20th April.

Child Safeguarding & Protection – Parish Policy Statement
We in St. Maur’s Parish, Rush value and encourage the participation of children and young people in parish liturgies and in activities that enhance their spiritual, physical, emotional and social development. We recognise the dignity and rights of all children and are committed to their protection and support. In keeping with this we will work to do all in our power to create safe environments for children and young people in order to secure their protection and enable their full participation in the life of the Church.

Rush Cricket Club
Youth Registration for 2015 season from 6-7p.m. on Wednesday 15th April at the clubhouse for boys & girls from 6 years old. Registration fee €40 for year. All equipment supplied.

The Irish Cancer Society’s Care to Drive Service is currently seeking volunteer drivers to drive local patients to and from their chemotherapy treatments. We are looking for volunteers to pick patients up at their homes, drive them to the door of the hospital, pick them up when they are finished their treatment and bring them home again. SVP monthly collection will take place at all masses NEXT weekend. 25/26 April. Loughshinny & Rush Historical Socity are proud to present a talk entitled “The Boyne Canal” by Paddy Lee in the Strand Bar Rush on Thursday April 23rd 2015 at 8p.m. All are welcome.
