Harvest Sunday:

Today we celebrate our Annual Harvest festival. Gifts, Vegetables and Fruit on the altar have been donated by growers and farmers of the Parish. We thank them for their participation in our Harvest Festival. We propose that as parishioners take home the produce, they make a donation which will be distributed between St. Vincent De Paul and Br. Kevin’s Capuchin Day Centre.

Blessing of Animals:

Blessing of the Animals will take place this Sunday 6th October @ 1p.m.

Family Mass Children’s Liturgy Group:

Family Mass Children’s Liturgy Group takes place each Sunday at the 11.30a.m Mass. All children and their parents are welcome to this child-friendly service in the Day Chapel. New volunteers are also required – if interested please come in and join us or leave your name and contact details into the Parish Office.

Day For Life

Day for Life is celebrated this Sunday. It is a day dedicated to raising awareness of the meaning and value of human life at every stage and in every condition. Leaflets are available at the back of the Church. The theme is “The Scourge of Domestic Abuse’

Housekeeping Matter:

Now that the weather has got colder and the heating is on, please be mindful to close the doors of the Church behind you. By simply closing the doors behind you, you can help reduce heating costs and protect the environment.

“Led by the Spirit”

The Confirmation Candidates of the primary schools in the Parish will commence its programme, “Led by the Spirit” ” on Tuesday. Oct. 8th . The Scripture reading for discussion this week will be The Annunciation (Luke1: verses 26-38 ). The programme will continue for eight weeks. We wish the confirmation candidates and the Julian Group every Blessing on this journey together. “Come Holy Spirit. Amen.”

Acknowledgement:

The Franciscan Missionaries of Mary wish to express their gratitude for your kind expressions of sympathy on the death of Sr. Ria Molony. Thank you to everyone who called to the house and to all who attended Ria’s Funeral Mass. We are grateful for all the Mass cards and messages of sympathy that we received on behalf of Ria. A special word of thanks to Fr. Clinton for leading the prayers at the house and for making Ria’s Funeral Mass such a beautiful celebration of her life. To Fr. Kevin, we would like to say thank you for all your support and prayers. Thank you to Aisling and her accompanist for the beautiful music which Ria would have loved. We are grateful to Alice Dennehy and to all who prepared the Church for Ria’s Funeral Mass. Mass has been offered for your intentions as a token of our gratitude.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place in the Day Chapel:
Every Monday from 9.30a.m. to 12 noon.
Every Thursday from 7.00a.m. to 10 p.m.
Every Friday from 9.30a.m. to 12 noon. All Welcome.

Our Lady of the Rosary:

The month of October each year is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary. This is because the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated on October 7th. We encourage parishioners to pray this Powerful Prayer during October. May our Lady’s Mantle cover our parish with all the Graces of her Son.

Tea/Coffee 

All are welcome to Tea/Coffee every Wednesday after Mass in the Day Chapel. Arising from this the Rosary will be prayed @ 8.45a.m. on Wednesday Morning.
