Memorial Mass for James Doyle of Hayestown will be held on Monday 13th November at 10am followed by burial of his ashes in Whitestown Cemetry.

Anam Cara, the organisation that supports bereaved parents, is holding its next monthly Parent Evening on Wednesday 15th of November from 19:30 to 21:00 in the Carnegie Court Hotel, Swords.

November List of the Dead: are available at the back of the church. Please take one home with you, enclose your family dead list and return to the Post Box, Sacristy or Parish Office. All the names are included in all Masses on the First Friday throughout the year. “It is a Holy and Wholesome Thought to pray for the Dead.”

Julian Prayer Group will discuss the Last Supper (Luke 22: verses 31 – 34) with the Confirmation pupils on Tuesday 14th November.

Ordinations to the Priesthood: Next Tuesday 14th November Deacons James Daly and Bill O’Shaughnessy will be ordained to the Priesthood in the Pro Cathedral by Archbishop Martin. We ask you to keep them in your prayers in their final days of preparation. We are delighted to welcome Deacon James Daly to the locality, as he will be taking up his first appointment in Skerries Parish. We wish Deacons James and Bill and their families every blessing for this wonderful occasion.

A Date for Your Diary: St. Maur’s Parish Pastoral Council Present Liam Lawton in concert “O Holy Night.” At St. Maur’s Church Rush on Sunday December 3rd 2017 at 8pm. Tickets €20. The proceeds for this concert will go towards an interactive screen for events with young parishioner’s in the Church. We look forward to sharing this very special evening with you.

Altar Servers: We are delighted to have a list of new altar servers. Training for new servers will begin shortly. Before we start we invite families to consider having their child join us as a new server. Please leave details with the Sacristy or Parish Office.

Farewell: Two of our senior servers Emmet and Emma are resigning. We thank them sincerely for the excellent service and good example they have given over the years. May God always watch over them.

World Missions Ireland: On behalf of The Society for the Propagation of the Faith Thank You for your support on Mission Sunday. The Collection at Rush Parish amounted to €2,349. Thank you for your great generosity in difficult times.

ONE Campaign: This week the ONE campaign was launched in Rush Co. Dublin. The aim is to bring a little magic to Children experiencing homelessness this Christmas. We are asking people to purchase a small item to donate to this cause when they are doing their Christmas Shopping.
