Parish Shop

Opening Hours Tue/Wed/Thur 9am – 1.m. Shop closed Mon and Fri. New Stock in this week; Angel on my shoulder pins, Padre Pio Holy water bottles,fridge magnets, glass plaques, children’s bibles and much more. Come in and have a browse.
Summer Schedule: Any Daily Mass Intentions left in please also include phone number. Any Intentions for weekend Masses need to be left in to the office or post-box by 12p.m. on Thursday to be included in Altar list. Thank you.

 
 
 

Lourdes Pilgrimage September

The Lourdes Pilgrimage will take place from 2nd to the 7th of September. Anyone who wishes to join this year’s parish pilgrimage please contact the office.

A new roster for Readers for weekend Masses from July 2nd/3rd to August 20th/21th is
now posted on the Parish Information Board.

 
 
 

Child Safeguarding Training

The Parish Pastoral Council and The Child Safeguarding Officers have organised Child Safeguarding Training on Monday 17th and Monday 24th of October from 7pm to 9:30pm.

The training is split over two evenings and it is mandatory that Parish Clergy, Parish Staff, Sacristans, Safeguarding Reps, Volunteers who work directly or indirectly with children and the Chairperson of the Parish Pastoral Council attend both evenings.

 

 
 
 

Invitation from Jesus

Come adore the Lord in silent prayer all day Thursday from 7am – 10pm. Would you like to commit to a set hour or be on a substitute list or just come along any time during the day to pray in silent adoration. Leave name, address and phone number in postbox.

Annual Sale of Work

The Annual Sale of Work in aid of Man-O- War Senior Citizens takes place this Sunday, July 10th in the Balrothery Inn Car Park from 11.00am.

Catholic Young Adults Conference

The Palmer Fund

The Palmer Fund is administered in Rush by the S.V.P. Training and education grants are available for Rush women aged eighteen and over, living in Rush for more than 5 years. Application forms will be available soon from Rush Library and must be returned by Friday 26th August 2016.

World Youth Day

World Youth Day(WYD) was initiated in 1985 by Pope Saint John Paul II. His vision was to gather young people from every part of the world in one city every few years. He kept this appointment regularly with young Catholics to celebrate and learn more about their faith. WYD’s provide a moment for young people to experience God’s love & mercy in a very different way. We wish our 9 young people well as they head to WYD on July 28th . Gerard Gallagher (Pilgrimage Director) came to Rush to meet our young people this week.
