“I would like to take this opportunity to say a very sincere thank you to all the people of Rush parish who it has been my good fortune to work with in ministry for the past four years as pastoral worker. I really enjoyed my appointment to Rush parish and the company and support of so many faith-filled and inspiring people. I thank in particular Fr. Peter, Fr. Seamus, the Pastoral Council, the Mercy and FMM sisters, and the many people who volunteer in ministry in the service of others in the parish. Your support, kindness and welcome helped to ease my way in a first appointment in a new role, and I will take with me the memory of all the many positive and life-giving experiences we shared, as I take up my new appointment in Marino Parish. CrossCare
The Second collection this Sunday 19th & 20th September is the annual collection for Crosscare. This replaces the Share collection. We welcome Susan O‘Neil who will be speaking at mass on behalf of Cross care.
St. Maur’s Youth Choir
The St Maur’s Youth Choir are looking for new members of secondary school age. Practice is every Tuesday night in the church from 7:30p.m. to 8:30p.m. We sing at Mass every second Sunday. We also like to visit nursing homes and children’s hospitals during the year. St. Joseph’s Secondary School Transition Year
St. Joseph’s Secondary School Transition Year students are running a programme called ‘Friendly Faces’ for any Senior Citizen interested in a cup of tea / a chat / help with computers / help with any sort of technology / music and art. Please come to the school on Mondays at 11.15 starting 21st September. Everyone is very welcome
Pathways
Pathways is a two year one night a week course for adults who wish to explore their faith. Booking is now open. Cost €400. The programme begins in Clonliffe College on Thursday the 24th September 2015 (7.00 p.m – 9.30 p.m) and runs until May 2016.
