Pence Collection – June 27 & 28

This weekend, we will take up the annual Peter’s Pence Collection, which unites us in solidarity with the Holy Father. Your contributions directly support Pope Leo XIV’s mission of proclaiming the Gospel and fund numerous charitable works for the most vulnerable populations, including victims of war, natural disasters, and oppression.

Pastoral Youth Leadership Training

Any young adults who would be interested in Pastoral Youth leadership training please leave your name and contact details into the Parish Office.

The Diploma in Youth Ministry and Spirituality is a one year full time (two year part time) programme that prepares learners to engage in practice as youth ministers in a professional manner. The course commences in September and will be sponsored by the Parish.

This weekend there will be a bucket collection for the Samaritans. The Samaritans provide a vital, confidential listening service for anyone who is struggling, feeling  overwhelmed, or in distress.   Please give as generously as you can, and thank you for your continued support.

Rise and Shine

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the recent Rise and Shine church gate collection. €852 was raised which will go towards providing life-changing, fully supported pilgrimage holidays  and respite breaks for children and young people with additional needs.

10am Mass: Friendly voices choir will be singing at this Mass. There will be an opportunity after Mass to a sing a few secular songs encouraging some new members. Parents of Transition Year Students are welcome to attend.

The Archdiocese of Dublin Lay Ministry Collection takes place this weekend 2nd/3rd May. The Lay Ministry Collection supports the development of a variety of lay ministries, providing for more women and men to work alongside the priests and deacons.

Congratulations to the boys and girls from St. Brendan’s N.S and St. Catherine’s N.S who received the sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday from Bishop Paul Dempsey. Thank you to Bishop Dempsey for coming to the Parish to confer this special sacrament. Thank you to the teachers and staff of St. Brendan’s N.S and St. Catherine’s N.S, the Parents and The Julian Group who together prepared these young people. Thank you to all who decorated the Church and who worked in so many other ways to make it a special Parish Celebration. Best of luck to the boys and girls from Rush N.S  who will make their confirmation on Friday 24th April.
