Baptism

  • Baptism Celebration Mass: We will celebrate with a special gathering of all families who have had their children baptised in 2019 at 11.30am Mass on Sunday 2nd  February 2020.
  • We Welcome:  Fionn James Colm Arkins who was baptised last weekend.

‘Do This in Memory Programme’     

The First Communion children will have their next Mass on Sunday 26th January at 11.30 am.  Preparation meeting for co-ordinating group on Tuesday 21st January at 8 pm in the Church.

‘Led by the Spirit’     

The Confirmation candidates from Rush National School R.2  will continue with the Confirmation programme ‘Led by the Spirit’’ on Tuesday 21st January with a Day of Reflection , led by the Julian Prayer Group.  Please keep those preparing for the Sacraments in your prayers.

Funerals in St. Maur’s

Each Tuesday from 14th  January to 24th March inclusive. Confirmation Retreats will take place in the Church, beginning at  9.45am. These dates involve much planning as they synchronise the timetables of our 4 primary schools, retreat team, coach hire, and Parish. On those dates we ask that families be aware that the church will not be available for any other events, including Tuesday funerals.  We ask for your understanding in arranging funerals on the other 5 days each week  during this time. Thank you in advance for your co-operation.

Projector Screen

We are seeking for volunteers to prepare and display the projector screen at all Sunday Masses especially the 7pm and 9am Masses.  If interested please leave your details in the parish office.

Focus Ireland

Letter of Thanks received from Focus Ireland to the St. Maur’s Parish, Rush for the kind donation of Toys and Sweets donated on Toy Sunday.  Letter of thanks displayed on notice boards.

Parish Financial Support

Christmas Dues & Christmas Offerings: Thanks to all who have contributed their Christmas offering. The Christmas Donations continue to be received in the coming weeks, we encourage each household to make their Christmas donation.

Planned Giving:

  • New Boxes are ready for collection for all those who responded to our appeal for new contributors.  Please pick up your new box from the Parish Office or Sacristy.

Crib Offerings

Crib Offerings will go to The Holy Family Maternity Hospital in the town of  Bethlehem, through the Order of Malta. The offering box will be there until the end of January.

Child Safeguarding

Safeguarding Training: Upcoming Child and Vulnerable Adult Safeguarding Training available for volunteers working within the parish.  Suitable for anyone who missed the last training day here, or for those who want at refresher.  Here are the dates

  • 1st February in Clonliffe from 9.30am to 3.30pm
  • 29th February in Brackenstown from 9.30am to 3.00pm.

Laudate Festival

Catholic Schools Week 2020, Primary School Liturgical Music Programme. The project brings together children from fifty primary schools of the Archdiocese along with parishioners and choirs to celebrate the gift of one another. Monday 27th January at 7pm in Church of St Agnes, Crumlin, Tuesday 28th January at 7pm in Our Lady of Victories Church, Ballymun Road, Wednesday 29th January at 7pm in Church of the Holy Spirit, Ballyroan, Thursday 30th January at 7pm in Church of St Pius X, Templeogue. Entry is free.

Irish Hospice Foundation

Overview of Loss and Bereavement Workshop in the  Irish Hospice Foundation Thursday, 30th  January from 9.15am – 4pm, 32 Nassau Street, Dublin 2. This workshop explores the journey of grief and loss for individuals who have experienced loss in various ways not just through death. Brid Carroll is a qualified Psychotherapist and Counselling Supervisor with a special interest in bereavement and loss.  Fee is €100 for the 1-day workshop and includes lunch.  Bookings can be made on the following link:  https://hospicefoundation.ie/education-training/bereavement-training/workshops/.
