Confirmation Enrolment:

We welcome the pupils of our four Primary Schools who will enrol  for their confirmation this weekend.  We wish them and their families a beautiful memorable journey as they prepare for the Sacrament.  “Come Holy Spirit Fill the Hearts  of Your Faithful”

‘Led by the Spirit’

The Confirmation candidates will continue with the Confirmation programme “Led by the Spirit” on Tues. Oct 15th . The programme is facilitated by members of the Julian Prayer Group. This week’s Scripture Readings will be The Finding in the Temple (Luke 2:verses 41-52) and The Baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan (Matthew 3: verses 1-2, 4-6, 11-.

Family Mass Children’s Liturgy Group:

Family Mass Children’s Liturgy Group takes place each Sunday at the 11.30a.m Mass. All children and their parents are welcome to this child-friendly service in the Day Chapel.

Harvest Thanksgiving:

Thank you to all who contributed, and special thanks to all the growers and farmers for the donations of their produce. A big thank you to all who contributed to, or who helped in any way towards setting up the beautiful artistic display, in particular Sharon McGuinness & Team. This year the Harvest festival realised €2000 – Well done to all for their kindness. The generous response of the people of Rush will enable Our Local Conference of St. Vincent De Paul to bring assistance and food to many families’ in need in our Parish. Brother Kevin’s Capuchin Day Centre also sent their thanks for our donation towards feeding the homeless. 

We ask God’s Blessing on the work of our Growers and Farmers for the year ahead.

Blessing of Animals:

Thank you to all who brought their pets to the Church and to all who organised and took part in this lovely event.

November Mass of Remembrance:

Every year during November the Parish Community prays a special Mass in which we remember all our loved ones who have died since this time last year. The Mass will take place on Saturday 2nd November at 7p.m. Refreshments will be served after Mass. While Special Invitations will be issued shortly to each family of course all are welcome to attend.

World Mission Sunday – Together We are Mission.. Next weekend October 19/20 the Mission appeal replaces the Share collection.

Our Lady of the Rosary: 

The month of October each year is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary. This is because the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated on October 7th.   We encourage parishioners to pray this Powerful Prayer during October.  May our Lady’s Mantle cover our parish with all the Graces of her Son.

Every Monday from 9.30a.m. to 12 noon. 
Every Thursday from 7.00a.m. to 10 p.m.

Rush Tidy Towns

Rush cleaned up by winning 7 awards at the Fingal Greener Community Awards in Fingal offices on the 3rd October. Hearty Congratulations to all the winners who won awards in areas of upcycling, pollinator front gardens, biodiversity, and coastal care among others. Anam Cara North Dublin, the organisation that supports bereaved parents, is holding a Parent Evening for bereaved parents on Wednesday 16 th October at 7:20.p.m in the Carnegie Court Hotel, Swords, Co. Dublin. This event is free and open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death, or whether their death was recent or not. World Mission Sunday

The Theme of this year’s World Mission Sunday appeal, ‘Together We are Mission is a message for everyone.  We think that only priests & sisters, catechists & lay people that work with those in need, are called to mission-but through Baptism we are all.  In his World Mission Sunday message, Pope Francis writes, “I am a mission, always; you are a mission, always; every Baptised man & woman is a mission.” Next Sunday October 20th the Mission appeal replaces the Share collection.

Now that the weather has got colder and the heating is on, please be mindful to close the doors of the Church behind you.  By simply closing the doors behind you, you can help reduce  heating costs and protect the environment

Tea/Coffee All are welcome to Tea/Coffee every Wednesday after Mass in the Day Chapel.   Arising from this the Rosary will be prayed @ 8.45a.m. on Wednesday Morning.
