Crosscare

Crosscare Social Support Agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Dublin – Thank you for your support with our Annual Collection last week which amounted to  €1865.

Irish Guide Dogs:

The local branch of Irish guide dogs for the blind are having their Annual Church Gate Collection this weekend Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September.

All involved in this collection are total volunteers and all moneies collected goes for the training of more guide dogs for blind people and more assistance dogs for families who have a child with autism.

St. Joseph’s Secondary School

Friendly Voices is a Choir that comprises of Transition Year students and Senior Citizens. This year our practice time has changed to Wednesdays    in St Joseph’s Secondary School from 11-12noon. We have a cuppa and a chat before we get stuck into the singing. Absolutely no experience is required. All we require is the willingness to have some fun. Starting back: Wednesday 11th September 2019.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place in the Day Chapel:  

  • Every Thursday from 7.00a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Every Monday from 9.30a.m. to 12 noon. 
  • Every Friday from 9.30a.m. to 12 noon. All Welcome.

Anam Cara North Dublin

 Anam Cara is the organisation that supports bereaved parents, is holding a Parent Evening for bereaved parents on Wednesday 18th  September @ 7:20p.m. in the Carnegie Court Hotel, Swords, Co. Dublin. This event is free and open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death, or whether their death was recent or not. The opening hours of the parish office are Mon-Wed-Fri from 9.30a.m. to 11a.m.  For outside office hours, please contact by email rushparishoffice@gmail.com or leave a voice message on 01 8949464.  Any correspondence for the parish may be left in the parish Post Box – located by the notice board in the main porch.  

Tea/Coffee every Wednesday after Mass in the Day Chapel.  All Welcome. (please note this day has changed from Tuesday).  Arising from this the Rosary will be prayed @ 8.45a.m. on Wednesday.   Morning.  On the other weekday mornings, Mon-Fri, the Rosary will be prayed after the 9a.m. Mass.

Planned Giving: Sunday 1st September was €1,092. Thank you for your generous support to the Parish.

Rush Tidy Towns

We are holding a free Composting and Grow it Yourself (GIY) workshop on Wednesday the 11th September from 7.30p.m. in Rush Community Centre. Hear from two guest speakers who will provide all the information you will need to get started making your own compost, and on kick starting your garden for the Autumn. Tea/Coffee will be served.

Rush Clean Coasts

Rush Clean Coasts will hold their next beach clean-up day on Sunday the 22nd September at 11a.m. on the South Beach in Rush. Meeting in the South Beach Car Park at 11a.m.  All equipment will be provided. Refreshments afterwards in the Strand Bar.

Scoil Rince Fingal

Irish Dancing classes will resume on Monday 16th  September in Rush Community Centre from 6p.m. to 7p.m. for juniors and 6.30p.m. to 7.30p.m. for seniors.  Classes also in St Catherine’s National School on Wednesdays returning on Wednesday 18th September from 2.45p.m. to 3.45pm.

Skerries Lifeboat RNLI:  

We are looking for volunteers to help us with our Flag Day Bucket collection in Rush on Saturday September 14th.  Can you spare an hour or two?  Please contact Jan on 0868294785

Mill Hill Ladies Badminton Club 

The club has commenced their new season on Tuesday, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Skerries Community Centre.  Tuesday the 10th September is an open night so everyone can come and give badminton a try and see do they like it. For more information telephone 087 752 0506.
