Baptism:

We welcome Ewan Lal Shrestha, Louie George Bowbrick Skelly & Fiadh Helena Shannon Grant who were Baptised last weekend.

 

Harvest Sunday:

We celebrate the Harvest next weekend 5th/ 6th October. All local produce will be gratefully accepted. We propose that as parishioners take home the produce they make a donation which will be distributed between St. Vincent De Paul and Br. Kevin’s Capuchin Day Centre.

 

Blessing of Animals: Blessing of the Animals will take place this Sunday 6th October from 1p.m.

 

Family Mass Children’s Liturgy Group:

Family Mass Children’s Liturgy Group takes place each Sunday at the 11.30a.m Mass.  All children and their parents are welcome to this child-friendly service in the Day Chapel.  New volunteers are also required – if interested please come in and join us or leave your name and contact details into the Parish Office.

Opening Hours Monday-Friday 9.30 to 11.30am
Now that the summer is over, the opening hours of the parish office return to the usual times. For outside office hours, please contact by email rushparishoffice@gmail.com or leave a voice message on 01 8949464. Any correspondence for the parish may be left in the parish Post Box – located by the notice board in the main porch.

 

Tea/Coffee 

All are welcome to Tea/Coffee every Tuesday after Mass in the Day Chapel. Arising from this the Rosary will be prayed @ 8.45a.m. on Tuesday Morning

 

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place in the Day Chapel:

Every Monday from 9.30a.m. to 12 noon.
Every Thursday from 7.00a.m. to 10 p.m.
Every Friday from 9.30a.m. to 12 noon. All Welcome.

St. Joseph’s Secondary School:

Friendly Voices is a Choir that comprises of Transition Year students and Senior Citizens. This year our practice time has changed to Wednesdays in St Joseph’s Secondary School from 11-12noon. We have a cuppa and a chat before we get stuck into the singing. Absolutely no experience is required. All we require is the willingness to have some fun.

 

Irish Cancer Society: 

The Irish Cancer Society is looking for volunteers to drive patients to and from their chemotherapy treatments in all public hospitals nationwide. Volunteers will need their own car but all expenses are paid. If you have 2 free days a month (Monday – Friday) and an active email address we would love to hear from you. The Irish Pilgrimage Trust

The Irish Pilgrimage Trust are seeking applications for young people to travel to Lourdes with us next Easter. We welcome young applications with

  • A physical disability or illness (aged 11-30)
  • A learning disability (aged 11-30)
  • A serious illness up to the age of 11 accompanied by a parent or guardian.
