Feast of St. Maur (Patron saint of Rush) will be celebrated at 9 am Mass on Tuesday 15th of January 2019.
Baptism Celebration Mass: We will celebrate with a special gathering of all families who had their children baptised in 2018 at 11.30am mass on Sunday 3rd February 2019.
Planned Giving for Sunday 6th January amounted to €1635. Thank you for your generosity.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Every Monday from 9.30am – 12noon, Thursday from 7 am – 10 pm, Friday from 9.30am – 12noon.
Crib Offerings will go to The Holy Family Maternity Hospital in the town of Bethlehem, through the Order of Malta. The offering box will be there until the end of January.
Parish Office: Opening Hours: 9 am – 11 am, Mon – Fri. Any Daily Mass Intentions left in please also include a phone number. Any Intentions for the weekend Masses need to be left into the office by 12 p.m on Thursday to be included in the Altar list.
Lost Property: There are a number of small items of lost property (hats, scarves, gloves etc.) which are currently in the Office – please call into the office to reclaim. If they aren’t reclaimed in the next couple of weeks they will be donated to St. Vincent De Paul.
Laudate Festival: Catholic Schools Week 2019, Primary School Liturgical Music Programme. The project brings together children from fifty primary schools of the Archdiocese along with parishioners and choirs to celebrate the gift of one another. Monday 28th January at 7 pm in St. Pius X, Templeogue, Tuesday 29th January at 7 pm in Our Lady of Victories Church, Ballymun Road and Wednesday 30th January at 7 pm in Church of St. Thérése, Mount Merrion. Entry is free.
Enrolment for the Parish Schools: Enrolment for the 3 parish schools (Rush National School, St. Catherine’s National School and St. Brendan’s National School) will take place from Monday 7th January to Friday 18th January 2019 inclusive. Pre-enrolment application forms will be available from the schools’ office between the hours of 09:30 and 14.30.

Overview of Loss and Bereavement Workshop in the Irish Hospice Foundation on Thursday, 31st January from 9.15am – 4 pm, 32 Nassau Street, Dublin 2. This workshop explores the journey of grief and loss for individuals who have experienced loss in various ways, not just through death. Brid Carroll is a qualified Psychotherapist and Counselling Supervisor with a special interest in bereavement and loss. The fee is €100 for the 1-day workshop and includes light lunch. Balbriggan and District Horticultural Society are holding a garden talk by Dominica Mc Kevitt the head gardener at Ardgillan Castle. The title of the talk is “Creating a Garden” and will also include improving and renovating an existing garden with an emphasis on suitable planting. The talk will take place on Thursday the 17th of January at 8:30 p.m. in the Scouts Den market Green Balbriggan beside Lidl. Admission €4 including tea and biscuits.
