Christmas in Rush: Thanks to all who worked to make our Parish celebrations of the Christmas Season so special and memorable for the huge numbers who gathered in St. Maur’s over the Christmas period. Thanks to Ministers of the Eucharistic, Readers, Servers, Collectors , Counters, Sacristans, Cleaners, Church Decorators and Florists, Altar Linen, those who erected the Crib, St. Josephs for the beautiful night scene backdrop, Bird of Paradise and Jones Garden Centre, the Parish Folk Group, Organist, Youth Choir, Children’s Liturgy Group, Do This in Memory Group, Rush Church Choir & Rinceoil. Thank you also to Fr Clinton and Fr Declan for their ministry over the Christmas period. Thank you to one and all, including those who work quietly and unseen in the background. They gave of their time, talents and service so generously to make it a wonderful Parish celebration of Christmas. Well done!

 

The Parish Pastoral Council on behalf of the Parishioners would like to thank Fr. Kevin for all his ministry throughout 2018 and for all the extra time and effort he dedicated over the Christmas Period. Thanks also to the Parish Staff (Claire the secretary and David the caretaker) who worked so hard behind the scenes.

 

Crib Offerings will go to The Holy Family Maternity Hospital in the town of Bethlehem, through the Order of Malta. The offering box will be there until the end of January.

 

Parish Office: Opening Hours: 9am11am, Mon – Fri. Any Daily Mass Intentions left in please also include phone number. Any Intentions for the weekend Masses need to be left into the office by 12p.m on Thursday to be included in the Altar list.

 

Enrolment for the Parish Schools: Enrolment for the 3 parish schools (Rush National School, St. Catherine’s National School and St. Brendan’s National School) will take place from Monday 7th  January to Friday18th January 2019 inclusive.  Pre-enrolment application forms will be available from the schools’ office between the hours of 09:30 and 14.30.

Anam Cara North Dublin, the organisation that supports bereaved parents, is holding a Parent Evening for bereaved parents on Wednesday 16th of January at 7:20pm in the Carnegie Court Hotel, Swords, Co. Dublin. This event is free and open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death, or whether their death was recent or not.
