Palliative Care Week, 9-15 September 2018  Palliative care focuses on helping people of all ages to live well with a life-limiting illness and achieve the best quality of life as their illness progresses.  It is provided by a range of professionals supporting the person, whether they are at home or in a nursing home, hospital or hospice.  Palliative Care Week is facilitated by All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care (AIIHPC).  The theme for this year’s campaign is ‘Palliative Care, Because Every Moment Matters’.  This year’s campaign includes real-life stories of individuals who have experienced palliative care.  Events planned can be found in the events section on www.thepalliativehub.com.

Guide Dogs for the Blind: Balbriggan\North County Dublin Branch of Guide dogs for the blind will be taking up their annual church gate collection outside all masses this weekend Sat 8th/Sun 9th September. Thank you for your generosity.

CROSSCARE – Social Support Agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Dublin. Annual Collection for Community and Homeless Services will be at all masses NEXT weekend (15th/16th Sept). It will replace the normal SHARE collection. CrossCare has a VISION of a society where all people have the opportunity to fulfil their potential. A MISSION to provide innovation and relevant services to those most in need.

Rush Daffodil Day Committee is in its 30th year and to celebrate this milestone, we would like to ask everyone who has helped out over the years to attend the Rush Sailing Club on Friday 21st of September @ 8pm where the formal presentation of the 2018 cheque of funds raised will be handed over to the Irish Cancer Society. We will also take time out  to remember all the hard work that has gone on over the last 30 years and to remember friends and fellow fundraisers, both present and past as well as to remember the many events over the years, from Paddy Cole Dance Nights to Fashion Shows and the Lambay Swim to name but a few.  If you have photos of any of these events please bring them with you to share on the night.
