Christmas Schedule:

The schedule is now posted in the Church, all homes should have received a timetable of the Christmas Mass and Ceremonies, these are available from the office if you need one.

 

School Christmas Carol Service:

The School Christmas carol service Gaelscoil RosEo on Thursday 21st December at 10 am. Rush National School on Thursday 21st December at 11.30am.

 

Christmas Book of Remembrance:

Names of our loved ones who have gone before us may be written in a special book which will be placed on display upon the Altar steps throughout the 12 days of Christmas. These names will be remembered at all Masses over the Christmas Season. Please note that no individual names will be called out from the Altar on the Christmas Eve and Christmas morning Masses. Envelopes are available at the back of the Church for the Christmas List. Please complete and leave back to the Parish Office or place in the Church Letter Box.

 

Christmas Mass Bouquet Cards:

The Parish office now has a beautiful selection of Christmas Mass Bouquet Cards in stock. If you are interested please drop in to see them. A Triduum of Masses will be offered during the Christmas Season for the intentions of all whose names are included.

 

Christmas Family Masses:

Sunday 24th  December at 6 pm including Our Do This in Memory Families. A second family mass will be celebrated on Christmas Morning at 11.30am.

 

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament:
Every Thursday from 7 am – 10 pm and also every Sunday of Advent from 2 pm – 5 pm

 

Parish Office:

Opening Hours: 9 am – 11 am, Mon – Fri. The office will be closed from Monday 25th December to Tuesday 2nd January Inclusive.

 

Christmas Carol Service:

Last Wednesday evening we were treated to an amazing festival of music, song and verse at a full capacity Carol Service. Thank you to all the choirs from the church and schools who took part and all who co-ordinated such a rich expression of Christmas Faith and Giving under the umbrella of the Parish Council. A great night was had by all!!

 

ONE Campaign Toy Appeal:

We are hugely grateful for all toy donations and gifts, which will make a huge difference to those Children experiencing homelessness this Christmas.

 

Planned Giving Collection:

Envelope Collection for Sunday 10rd December amounted to €1155.Thank you for your generosity.

 

Welcome

Acknowledgement:

The family of the late Celine Harford nee O’Brien, Lusk, would like to thank most sincerely, all those who sympathized with them in their recent bereavement. The kind words and thoughtful gestures were most appreciated. In particular, we would like to thank; The staff of Rush Nursing Home, Fingal Homecare, The Nurses and Doctors of Beaumont Hospital and all our kind neighbours and friends. Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Christmas Day Swim:

The Christmas Day Swim takes place at Rush Sailing Club at 11.30am. All proceeds are in aid of Irish Cancer Society. If interested in participating please contact Jacqui McCrum on 086 8542220.

 

GOAL Christmas Mile:

New Year’s Day at Skerries Rugby Club 12.30 pm.“I want to encourage everyone in the region to come out and join in the GOAL Mile fun over Christmas. Whether you are young or old, and no matter your level of fitness, it’s a great way to get some exercise over the festive season and help raise some money for GOAL’s programmes overseas. You can run, jog or walk the Mile – the choice is up to you. There is no need to register, just turn up on the day and donate what you can.” All are welcome and all ages can take part.
