Harvest Sunday 8th October:
Next weekend we will celebrate the Harvest Festival. Vegetables and Fruit will be donated by growers and farmers of the Parish. We thank them for their participation in our Harvest Festival. We invite parishioners to take home some produce after masses. Donations are welcome and will be passed to St. Vincent De Paul.
Day for Life 2017 Sunday 1st October:
Day for Life is celebrated annually by the Catholic Church. It is a day dedicated to celebrating and upholding the dignity of human life from conception to natural death. This year’s theme is “Fostering a Culture that Protects Life and Respects Women.” There are information cards available at the entrance to church.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament:
Every Thursday from 7a.m. to 10 p.m. Alliance of the Two Hearts Friday 6th October commencing with Mass of the Sacred Heart at 8o’clock. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will continue until midnight. Mass at 12 o’clock and recommence after mass until 3am. Please join us for all our part of the Vigil.

Preparation Meeting on Wednesday 4th at 7.30pm in Day Chapel. Deadline for applications is Monday 2nd October. Please note that godparents must be baptised Catholics and over 16 years of age. See parish website for more information.

Bishop Raymond Field is hosting a Mass of Thanksgiving for his Pastoral Area on Sunday the 15th of October at 10.30am in St. Brigid’s Parish, Blanchardstown for couples who are celebrating Silver, Ruby, Golden, Diamond and Platinum Wedding Anniversaries. Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind Balbriggan\North County Dublin Branch would like to thank the parishioners of Rush Parish for the great response to their recent church gate collection. The total collected was €572.20.The branch is very grateful to Fr Bartley and the parish team for their co-operation. To all who donated and to all of our volunteers who stood at the gates for us. All money collected goes straight to H.Q. of guide dogs cork to train more guide dogs for blind people or more assistance dogs for families who have a child with autism. We are always looking for additional volunteers so further information on local guide dog activities can be got from guidedogsbalbriggan@gmail.com or by ringing 085 7663107
