Easter Book of Remembrance

The Names of the Faithful Departed will be written in a special book which will be placed near the altar for all Masses on Sat/Sun 20th/21st March and Holy Sat/Easter Sunday 26th/27th March.  All names of deceased loved ones will be remembered at these Masses. Because of the volume of requests – names will not be read out. Names can be left in the parish office or church letter box only.

Invitation from Jesus

Battle of the Musicals!

Travel back in time to the 1980’s to learn the songs and act out the scenes from these two iconic musicals. Fame takes on Hairspray! Which musical will win your heart ? Find out on Thurs Mar 31st at 3pm. This event is for 7-11year olds. Booking is essential. Exhibition on 1916 in Fingal on the altar area of the Library until Fri 18th March. This area is available for Local artists and groups to use for exhibitions. Please contact the Library for more information.

St Patrick’s Day Parade

This year’s St Patricks’s Day Parade will take place at 1pm on the 17th starting at the Millbank, out onto the st-patricks-day-paradeWhitestown Rd and finishing at the Anchor in the Square. Our THEME is RUSH in 1916 and we are encouraging all businesses, clubs and groups and individuals to get ‘themed’ and join our TEAM 16, entry forms for the parade are available from Rush Community Centre. There will be music dancing and entertainment at Echlin Court, a FREE Heritage Train will be available after the parade from the Community Centre to take you on a small tour of Rush. There is a FUN DAY at the Scout Den, so come along and bring the Family. Please do not park on the main street on the day to facilitate the parade, children marching in the parade can be collected at the Bawn Rd Entrance after the parade finishes. Please obey the marshal instructions on the day to ensure a fun safe event for everyone in Rush.

 
 

Junior Park Run

On Sunday 20th March at 9.30am the Junior Park Run is a ‘Leprechaun’ themed event, so dress as a Leprechaun or come dressed in Green to Kenure Woods and see if you can find the crock of Gold.

SVP Advocate Sunshine Fund

A Collection takes place at all Masses next weekend 19 / 20th March replacing the normal monthly  collection.  Last month’s collection amounted to €1435 euros. Many thanks.
The Sunshine Fund Holiday is for children between the ages of 7 to 11.  The holiday period runs from the end of May to the end of August and are for one week. Applications are invited from interested families and should be left into the Parish Office.
