Christmas Dues and Christmas Offerings: Thanks to all who have contributed so far. The Christmas Donations continue to be received in the coming weeks, we encourage each household to make their Christmas donation.
Crib Offerings will go to The Holy Family Maternity Hospital in the town of Bethlehem, through the Order of Malta. The offering box will be there until the end of January.
Planned Giving for Sunday 20th January amounted to €2205. Thank you for your generosity.

Friendly Voices is a community choir consisting of Transition Year Students and Senior Citizens. We meet every Monday in St Joseph’s Secondary School, Assembly Hall from 11.15am to 12.15. We begin with a cup of tea and a chat before we get started on our singing. Ages range from 15 years to 95 years.
Rush Tidy Towns AGM will take place on Monday the 4th of February from 8.30pm in Rush Community Centre. Tea and Coffee will be served. Please join us to hear our plans, but also to give your own views and ideas for the Tidy Towns movement in Rush.

Billy Ryan (R.I.P)

On behalf of the Parish Community at this time of Billy’s Months Mind memory, we take this opportunity to express our deep gratitude for the life and service of our dear friend.
This time last year we celebrated Billy’s (official) retirement from our team of Sacristans. Over the past 60 years of service to our Parish, here’s some of his
- 1953; He joined the Men’s Sodality.
- 1963 – 2016; He became a member of the Parish Lourdes Pilgrimage Committee.
- 1968 – 2018; He was part of the Planned Giving Finance Committee.
- 1984 – 2017; He was a Minister of the Eucharistic.
- He was a member of the Rush Church Choir for over 40 years.
Billy died in the care of the Bon Secours Hospital on Christmas Day 2018. On that same day in 1984 Billy, for the first time, had the honour of giving the Lord in Holy Communion to Parishioners as a Minister of the Eucharist. Fittingly on this same Feast the Lord gave himself and his gift of eternal life to Billy. Ar Dheis De go raibh a Anam.
