St Padre Pio Mass

A Special Mass in honour of St. Padre Pio, 9am Wednesday 20th September to celebrate 50th Anniversary of St Padre Pio receiving the Stigmata.

Harvest Sunday:

We celebrate Harvest Sunday on 7th October. All produce will be gratefully appreciated. It is proposed this year that parishioners take away the produce and leave a donation which will be distributed to St. Vincent De Paul and Br. Kevin (Caption Day Centre).

 

Blessing of Animals:

Blessing of the Animals will take place on Sunday 7th October from 1p.m to 1.30p.m.

 

Planned Giving Envelope Collection:

Envelope collection for Sunday 2nd September amounted to €984 and Sunday 9th September to €1047.Thank you for your generosity.

 

St. Maur’s Pilgrimage to Lourdes 2018:

On behalf of the parish, the Parish Pastoral Council welcomes home our parishioners from Lourdes. A special word of Thanks Samantha McGuinness, Johnny McGee and team for organising the trip. A special work of Thanks to Fr. Kevin whose Spiritual Guidance was truly appreciated by all. A candle was lit for the intentions of all parishioners of St. Maur’s Parish.

 

CROSSCARE 

Social Support Agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Dublin. Annual Collection for Community and Homeless Services will be at All masses THIS weekend (15th/16th Sept). It will replace the normal SHARE collection.

 

Cash for Clobber

Rush National School Cash for Clobber will take place on Thursday 20th September.  Unwanted clothes can be dropped off from 8.30 a.m. until 9.30 a.m.  No toys/pillows/duvets.  Many thanks.

 

Failte Isteach:

All are welcome and all levels are provided for. €2 per class. Friendly volunteer tutors. Every Tuesday from 10 am to 12 noon starting September 18th. Irish Dancing Classes

Bus Connects

The proposed Bus Connects plans (busconnects.ie) will have a huge impact on transport links from Rush. The community have until 28th September to submit their concerns to consultations@busconnects.ie. Rush Community Council will be collecting signatures to submissions after mass on Sunday 16th.

Anam Cara North Dublin is holding a Bereavement Information Evening on Wednesday 19th September at 7:30pm in the Carnegie Court Hotel, Swords, Co. Dublin. Re-launch of Fingal for Life:You are invited to attend the re-launch of Fingal for Life, Tues. 18th Sept, Sacred Heart Church, Yellow Walls, Malahide at 7.30pm. Our guest speaker David Quinn, Iona Institute, will speak on “The Way Forward”. We begin with the Celebration of Mass at 7.30pm to thank God and to thank all those who worked so hard for the pro-life cause. Celebrant Rev. Fr. Brian McKevitt. Mass will be followed with tea and a meeting to set out our plan for the future. This is a very important meeting. Please come.
