Congratulations Fr Kevin

This weekend, our Parish Priest, Fr. Kevin will celebrate his 25th Anniversary of Ordination to the Priesthood. To mark this occasion, a Thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated at 11.30am this Sunday, the Feast of Pentecost, and refreshments will be served afterwards, to which all are invited.

In his letter to Fr. Kevin, Archbishop Martin stated “Your Jubilee is a marvellous milestone, marking as it does twenty-five years of devoted service of God’s people in the Archdiocese of Dublin. While this has been a turbulent time for the Church, you have not wavered in your dedication and fidelity.”

During his ministry Fr. Kevin served in Glasthule, Baldoyle and Sutton Parishes as curate. Fr. Kevin has very special memories of his time working with disabled children in St. Mary’s Hospital for Children, Baldoyle. He was appointed Parish Priest of Clonskeagh Parish in 2009, and before coming to Rush, served briefly in DCU and University Church, Stephen’s Green.

We are delighted that Fr. Kevin has now joined us in Rush Parish, on time for his Silver Jubilee Year.  We take this opportunity to thank Fr. Kevin for his ministry among us and for his friendship.  We also congratulate Fr. Kevin’s parents and family during this special occasion, and we welcome his uncle Monsignor Vincent Bartley, who joins us from New York, for the celebration.

We pray that the Blessings of God and Mary will be upon Fr. Kevin for many more years. Ad Multos Annos Fr. Kevin!
