World Meeting of Families 2018

Pope Francis has chosen Ireland to host the 9th World Meeting of Families during 2018. In 2018, the 9th World Meeting of Families is expected to attract thousands of families from around the globe to Ireland. Hosting a global event of this size requires a huge amount of planning and financial outlay on behalf of the host country. To support the hosting of the event we intend to hold three national church collections, the first which will take place on the weekend of 28th, 29th May which will replace the Share Collection. The remaining collections will take place in 2017 and 2018. Please visit worldmeeting2018.ie for more details. There are
‘Frequently asked Questions’ leaflets on the table at the entrance to the church which explain the purpose of the World Meeting of Families. Please contribute next weekend to the first national church collection for the support of this.
