Parish Shop

The opening hours for the Parish Shop are 9am – 1pm.   just In the Parish Office you can: book an Anniversary Mass, get a Mass card, register for baptism preparation, find out more about getting married in our Parish, register for our weekly Planned Giving Envelopes, order Letters of Freedom, Baptism Certificates, Marriage Certificates or make an appointment to see a member of the Parish Team.  New Stock just in, Birthstone Rosary Beads, Padre Pio statues, Angel display box, Baby brooches and much more.

 

Baptisms for Sunday 14th and 28th February

Preparation meeting on Wednesday 10th at 7.30pm. Deadline for applications is Monday 8th February. Please note that godparents/sponsors must be baptised Catholics and over 16 years of age. See the parish website for more information.

 

Planned Giving Envelope Collection 17th January

The amount collected last Sunday in the envelope collection amounted to €1190.00. Thank you for your generosity.

Confession times are at 6:30p.m. before Saturday evening Mass and on request.

 

 

Invitation from Jesus

Come adore the Lord in silent prayer all day Thursday from 7am – 10pm.  Would you like to commit to a set hour or be on a substitute list or just come along any time during the day to pray in silent adoration. Leave name, address and phone number in post box.

 

 

Julian Prayer Group

The Julian Prayer Group will meet the Confirmation pupils from the four Primary Schools in the Parish over the next six weeks to lead them in a Day of Reflection. We start on Tuesday January 26th with the pupils from St. Catherine’s N.S.

Acknowledgement

The family of the late Nano Leonard would like to thank most sincerely everyone who sympathised with us on our recent sad loss. It was much appreciated whether you called to the house, attended the Removal/Funeral, sent flowers, a Mass card, a kind message or helped in any way. A special thank you to Fr. Kit Sheridan, Fr. John Collins, St. Maur’s Folk Group, Fitzgerald’s Funeral Directors, the staff of Beaumont Hospital, Rush Health Centre and Haven Pharmacy.

William (Billy) Smith. Kathleen and her daughters Paula, Orla and Kathryn, grandchildren, brother and extended family will always remember with gratitude your support and kind expression of sympathy on the very sad loss of William (Billy). The outpouring of your love in mass cards and visits to my home was so uplifting but too numerous to thank you all individually. A special thanks to Fr. Paul, Ingrid, Lannon’s funeral home and St. Maur’s guard of honour.

 

Blood Transfusion Service

The Blood Transfusion Service will be at ST. Maur’s GAA Centre from 4.30p.m. – 8.00p.m. on Mon 22nd February.

The Divine Mercy Conference takes place in RDS Ballsbridge, Saturday 20th February. Legion of Mary bus leaves Skerries 7.15a.m. and Rush 7.30a.m. Ring 087 4177971

 

St Catherine’s NS

As most of you are aware St.Catherine’s NS is moving into its new school shortly. There is great excitement St Catherine's NSthroughout the school but to make way for the new school the existing school is to be knocked down.

Therefore, the Parent Association is having an open evening on Thursday February 4th from 6.30p.m. to 8.30p.m. in the school and is inviting you to come and share in memories and meet old friends.  Past pupils and parents, we would love to see you there. This is an opportunity to visit the classroom you sat in as a child and maybe take some photos. This is an informal evening and we will have tea/coffee and refreshments offered.  Many Thanks.

 

 

World Youth Day

Six members of the Rush Youth choir will travel to Krakow, Poland, August 2016, to represent St Maur’s parish and join in celebrations for World Youth Day with His Holy Father, Pope Francis. The members will also partake in a ‘Leadership’ programme for young adults to learn how to be active and faith leaders with young people, which will be a wonderful asset for our parish.  Over the coming months we will have various fundraising projects going on and we would appreciate support in whatever way from all the community. If you would like any further information please go to www.worldyouthday.com/krakow-2016.

The Julian Prayer Group

The Julian Prayer Group will lead the Confirmation pupils of Ms. E. Ryan’s 6th class, Rush N.S. in a Day of Reflection on Tuesday February 2nd.
