Parish Shop

The opening hours for the Parish Shop are 9am – 1pm.  This year we have Rush Parish Christmas Cards at just €1 each and signed Mass Christmas Cards available. In addition the office stocks Advent Calendars, scented Christmas candles, Snow globes, Children’s Bibles and many more gift items available. Don’t forget that by visiting the Parish Office you can: book an Anniversary Mass, get a Mass card, register for baptism preparation, find out more about getting married in our Parish, register for our weekly Planned Giving Envelopes, Order letters of Freedom, Baptism Certificates, Marriage Certificates or make an appointment to see a member of the Parish Team.

The Parish office will close for the Christmas holidays from Wednesday 23rd December and will re-open Monday 4th January. No baptismal Certs will be issued during this time.

Christmas List of Remembrance

Names of the Faithful Departed will be written in a special book which will be placed near the altar for all Masses from Thursday Dec 24th to Mon Dec 28th.  All names of deceased loved ones will be remembered at these Masses. Names can be left in the parish office or church letter box only. No names will be announced at masses during this period.

 

 

 

CrossCare Dublin Diocesan Food Appeal:Crosscare-logo

Hundreds of people in our communities are in urgent need of help. For the past number of months the Crosscare Food Bank has not been able to keep up with demand for food from people in need all over Dublin. Further info on notice board.

 

 

 

Planned Giving Envelope Collection 13th December

The amount collected last Sunday in the envelope collection amounted to €1245.00. Thank you for your generosity

Confession times are at 6:30p.m. before Saturday evening Mass and on request.

 

 

 

 

The Children’s Liturgy

Childrens-liturgy-of-the-word-imageChildren’s Liturgy resumed last Sunday 8th November for Children aged 5 to 12 years. We would be delighted to see new children along with those who have attended previously.  Parents are welcome to accompany their children if they wish.  Any adults interested in becoming involved please contact the office or Sharon at 086 3884998. We would be delighted to see new faces.

 

Invitation from Jesus

Come adore the Lord in silent prayer all day Thursday from 7am – 10pm.  Would you like to commit to a set hour or be on a substitute list or just come along any time during the day to pray in silent adoration. Leave name, address and phone number in post box.

 

 

 

Christmas Day Swim:

Christmas Day swim is approaching – we would love you to participate or alternatively sponsor someone else – all proceeds to the Irish Cancer Society – Swim takes place at Rush Sailing Club, Rogerstown promptly at 11:30 a.m. on Christmas Day. For details contact 086 854 2220.

 

 

 

Goal Christmas Mile:

goal-logoNew Year’s Day at Skerries Rugby Club 12.30pm to 2.00pm. Walk, crawl or run a mile to raise funds for The Third World. All are welcome and all ages can take part. Just turn up do your mile and donate what you wish on the day. For more information contact Gerry Weldon at 0868479690  or by e-mail. Enrolment for the Parish Schools

Enrolment for the 3 parish schools (Rush National School, St. Catherine’s National School and St. Brendan’sNational School) will take place from Wednesday 6th January to Friday 22nd January 2016 inclusive.  Pre-enrolment application forms will be available from the schools’ office between the hours of 09:30 and 14.30.

 

 

 

Christmas Carol Service

Our Christmas Carol Service was a huge success. It was a wonderful evening of celebration and a great start to our Christmas services. A huge thank you to the organising committee and all those who participated. The Parish Pastoral Council would like to take the opportunity to wish you all a very peaceful and Happy Christmas.

World Youth Day

Six members of the Rush Youth choir will travel to Krakow, Poland, August 2016, to represent St Maur’s parish and join in celebrations for World Youth Day with His Holy Father, Pope Francis. The members will also partake in a ‘Leadership’ programme for young adults to learn how to be active and faith leaders with young people, which will be a wonderful asset for our parish.  Over the coming months we will have various fundraising projects going on and we would appreciate support in whatever way from all the community. If you would like any further information please go to www.worldyouthday.com/krakow-2016
