Invitation from Jesus
Come adore the Lord in silent prayer all day Thursday from 7am – 10pm. Would you like to commit to a set hour or be on a substitute list or just come along any time during the day to pray in silent adoration. Leave name, address and phone number in post box.
Harvest Thanksgiving & Blessing of Pets
Harvest Thanksgiving and Blessing of Pets (Feast of St. Francis) Sat/Sun 3rd and 4 October. The church is decorated for Harvest Thanksgiving this Sunday. The children preparing for sacraments are bringing fruits to the church. We also kindly thank parishioners who made donations of vegetables or fruits. Click to view a gallery of Harvest photos
Blessing of pets will take place after 11.30 mass this Sunday. Fr. Peter will be available to bless pets for up to 45 minutes after mass to celebrate Feast of St. Francis who is the patron saint of animals. All pets and owners are welcome. The blessing will take place outside main porch of church.
Upcoming Events:Emigration Sunday, (Sunday 11th October) is whereby we remember in prayer those who have emigrated. A small display will be available in church to remember those who live far away. Mission Sunday,( Sunday 18th October) Annual Mass for the deceased of the Parish: (Saturday 31st October at 7pm mass) Feast of All Saints. |
St. Maur’s Youth Choir
The St. Maur’s Youth Choir are looking for new members of secondary school age. Practice is every Tuesday night in the church from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. We sing at Mass every second Sunday. We also like to visit nursing homes and children’s hospitals during the year. If you are interested please contact Brenda on 0874173165 or come up on a Tuesday evening. Singers and musicians are all welcome.

Day for Life Prayer 2015 Cards are available in porch church. Please take one, these are supplied by the Irish Bishops’ Conference.
Muintearas Críostaí
Irish prayer meeting at Emmaus, Lissenhall, Swords. Every Thursday evening from 7.30 to 9.30 pm. We pray some psalms and a spiritual book is read and discussed. Further information from Br Dan Healy at 01-8700050 or at 0872595195.
Saturday Mass
There will be ONE mass on Saturdays in October at 7pm. There will be no 10am Mass. Confessions will be available at 6.30 on Sat evening.

The Julian Prayer Group
The Julian Prayer Group will commence its programme with the Confirmation candidates of the four primary schools in the Parish on Tues. Oct. 6th. The Scripture Reading for discussion this week will be The Annunciation. ( Luke 1: verses 26 – 38). The programme will continue for eight weeks.
Acknowledgement

Irish Dancing Classes
Irish dancing classes every Monday evening in Rush community centre. Beginners from 6pm to 7pm. Seniors from 7pm to 8pm. Classes in St Catherines National school every Wednesday from 2.45pm – 3.45pm.
