Lent Ash Wednesday 18th February Day of Fast and Abstinence Mass times: 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Ashes will be distributed after each mass and are available all day and in the evening in the church.

Trócaire Lenten Campaign 2015 focuses on Ethiopia. Trócaire boxes will be available from Ash Wednesday.

Do this in Memory Programme Mass at 11.30 a.m. on Sunday 15thof February. Meeting of the co-ordinating team in the Church on Tuesday 10th February at 8 p.m.

Weekday & Sunday Mass Intentions
Parishioners leaving in Mass intentions for morning Mass Mon-Sat are asked to supply a contact telephone number in case the Mass is cancelled at short notice. Mass intentions for Sundays are to be left in the office, the sacristy or the letter box. We would appreciate if all intentions could be left in by Friday.

Arrangements for Baptisms
Preparation Meeting for baptisms on Sundays 8 th & 22nd March will held on Wednesday 4th March. Deadline for applications for March baptisms is Tuesday 3rd March. Please note that godparents/sponsors must be baptised Catholics and over 16 years of age. See the parish website for all information.

Ministry of the Word
A new roster for Readers for the weekend Masses from 14/15 February’15 to 04/05 April’15 is now posted on the Parish Information Board.

Accord Sunday 14th / 15th February
The share collection next weekend will be replaced by the annual Accord collection. ACCORD is a well known, respected and experienced agency that has in excess of 50 years experience working with couples and individuals supporting them in their Marriages and Relationships.
ACCORD offers a professional counselling service throughout the island of Ireland, facilitating couples and individuals to explore, reflect upon and work to resolve difficulties that arise in their marriages and relationships. ACCORD counsellors are very experienced in working with individuals and couples on a wide range of issues and difficulties that arise in their relationships i.e. communication, intimacy, sexual issues, infidelity, problem behaviours, conflict, domestic violence, health, family issues, finances, loss. ACCORD’s counselling service is based on clients needs and not on their ability to pay. Counselling can be arranged by contacting us (to find your local centre please visit www.accord.ie) The centre secretary will take contact details and then arrange an appointment to see a counsellor. Outside of centre hours an answering service will be in operation and the secretary will contact clients on returning to the office. Our service is totally confidential. All 57 ACCORD centres offer Marriage and Relationship counselling. Other services offered by ACCORD include Marriage preparation course and a Relationship and Sexuality programme in primary and secondary schools.

Anam Cara is holding a Bereavement Information Evening on Wednesday 18th of February 2015 from 19:30 to 21:30 in Applewood Community Centre, Swords, Co. Dublin. The guest speaker for the evening is Peter Hanlon and the topic is “A Parent’s Grief & Loss”. All Anam Cara Services are available free of charge to bereaved parents. Rush GIY (Grow it Yourself) “Seed Swap” night in Martin’s Shop, Millbank, Rush on Wed Feb 11th from 7.30pm. Like to bake? – Like vegetables? maybe you can bring along your favourite creation using savoury ingredients (carrot cake, corgette and lemon cake, beetroot and chocolate brownies…!!!). All welcome, especially children.
